Natural History of the Rowan Lake Area
Flora and Fauna
Below are some of the unique animal and plant species found in and around Rowan
Lake. These include both common and some rare species. While fishing on Rowan
Lake, you'll get to experience the true Wilderness.

Officially Ontario is in the
mixed forest zone, the forest type found at Rowan Lake is overwhelmingly
boreal in nature. White pine, red pine, jack pine, black spruce, trembling
aspen, and white birch dominate this forested area.
